What is RSS? |
March 5th, 2008 |
You can keep up with new blog posts here at Precise Arrangements Organizing either by subscribing to our email newsletter or by using RSS. If you are unfamiliar with RSS and how you can use it, the brief explanation below should help.
What is RSS?
RSS stands for ‘Really Simple Syndication’. RSS is like a subscription to a news feed. Instead of going out to websites to check for updates, RSS allows updates to come to you through an aggregator or reader. If a site has not been updated, you don’t see any new updates in your reader.
How to Use RSS
To be able to use RSS, you must use an RSS reader. RSS readers can be an online webpage (Google Reader), an installed program on your local computer(SharpReader), your email client(Windows Live Mail) or your browser(Firefox). To receive the RSS feed, you must subscribe to it via your reader. For Precise Arrangements, click on the RSS link on the sidebar and follow the instructions. Alternatively, paste the following address into your reader: http://www.precisearrangements.com/feed/rss2/
